you say crazy, like its a bad thing :)

its been so crazily long..good lord,i dont believe the speed at which this year flew..and when i say flew,i swear i mean it.
What do i say?so long,so much..I am already through 1/6th of my degree college(that is,assuming i pass all my first sems :P)and its scary..college is meant to last forever, not to zoom past over your head while you bent down to lace your allstar!!well,okay..i wont complain..
things i re-discovered in the past few days:
1.i love and absolutely love talking to people about the books i like, and i love spoofing..
2.i love playing pictionary and there is nothing better than sitting on the terrace with your closest friends, and eating and clicking pictures which make you laugh.
3.after you talk to your friend and laugh and crack lame ones,by the end of the conversation you forget why you were pissed off.and glad to have forgotten.
4.that women in the train are freaky and they ask me if i am madhuri sinha from badlapur(what the..?)
5.i have a pet who is called Dobby.Dobby is nice and Dobby coughs and wears red oshos.
6.Dobby doesnt have TB.
7.that it is humanly possible to sleep for more than 15 hours at a strech.
8.Kunal Kapoor is cute..really.
9.rickshaw drivers can get freaked out if they see that the 18 year old in orange pants sitting in their richshaw has started a conversation with another 18 year old in the neighbouring rickshaw.the other 18 year old seems to have last bathed in 2002.
10.that i am like they say, "random, eccentric and curly haired"

*wonders why i was among the ones, out of almost a thousand babies born that day, chosen to have hair which when i spend half an hour on it,and i think it looks passable, make people look sympathetic and ask,"Bad hair day eh?".
the random and eccentric part i agree with.and not without pride*

Of dining tables

For a long time,we didn't have a dining table..'cos nobody wanted one.We never ate at the same time,so it seemed only right. And then one day, we got one!and for the first few days, all of us fussed over it,like it were our new pet.We sat around it and wiped it every two hours (we still do,but i won't say willingly)and then we used all the mats and coasters in the world,so that our beloved wouldn't catch any stain. And eventually..the excitement wore out.the table aged and our enthusiasm fizzled off. .Now,i just pile my plate with food and sprawl on the floor in the front of the TV,or with a book, much to the irritation of my mother.
The dining table has been a friend..it has borne the weight of our fat books and our wrath during exams. It has stood strong in times of pain..when we plopped our tired feet on it..and banged our bursting bags on it.Its stood witness to endless crosswords solved, witty comments made, and jokes cracked. Its seen a whole lot of tears and seen those swollen red eyes up close.
Its been more than a friend. Its been more than glass and wood. Its been more than mealtimes. Its been more than most dining tables go..
Its a part of us.And i think now we do need a dining table.and when i say this,i don't mean we eat at it now.We still eat on the floor :-)
